no longer a theory, "Peak oil" means canadian oil production, jobs and rental housing are going up for decades to come.
Just a few years ago, everyone from oil executives to government officials and agencies were quick to denounce the idea that we were approaching a point where fossil fuel demand would be outstripped by easy supply from conventional crude. All of a sudden, it's a fact of life to which our global response is the only unknown variable, since the International Energy Association (IEA) released a report in late 2010 declaring peak oil had arrived.
In its report the IEA not only confirmed the existence of and challenges posed by the arrival of peak oil, they declared that we had already surpassed it around late 2005/early 2006!
Western Canada is embarking on a period of unprecedented growth as a result. It has the 2nd largest proven oil reserves in the world next to Saudi Arabia, only a tiny fraction of it extracted, and the price of oil is already well within the range of profitable oil sands extraction.
Prestigious Properties is focused on having our investors profit from the rises in rental housing and real estate values that have only just begun in response to the long term increases in regional economic activity and wealth that are expected from a world increasingly hungry for a reliable supply of oil.
