how to use the investment calculator

The Investment Analyzer is a great tool for comparing different purchase scenarios related to our investment properties.

The variables marked with an asterisk * are calculated amounts and can't be changed.

All other variables can be changed to allow you to run a custom scenario.

You can run two different scenarios for side-by-side comparisons (Scenario 1 & Scenario 2). Both scenarios do not need to be used if you wish to only see one.

Some variables have a default value or will provide a prompt to indicate that it is a calculated value and will not allow you to change the value.

The spreadsheet has four sections: Purchase Details, Income Details, Mortgage Details and Investment Return for each scenario which will offer evaluation and real estate assessment as an investment for you.

Click the button at the foot of the form to run the analysis.

You may change variable values and run the analysis any number of times.

Some variables will instantly recalculate the form when their value is changed for instant analysis.
